Our journey started in 2017 with the realization FinTech was lacking a global payments solution with functionality continuity for consumers and businesses.
In 2018 we started conceptualizing what facets of how people use their money were ripe for upward disruption, which facets were not disruption targets but could be optimized for the benefit of consumers and businesses and which facets of how people use their money were not even being addressed by FinTech at the time.
What we came up with was more a philosophy than a product. That philosophy was simple... No matter how technical or how "sexy" a solution might be, it is useless if people do not want to use it - and people want the most value possible for their money no matter how little or how much money they have. This drove us to realize the best way forward was to focus on mindshare and transformation. The big idea at OGPay is to innovate to upwardly disrupt for the purpose of transforming how people think about something as simple as how they use their money.
The result of this new FinTech solution is subscribers become more integral in the process of how they use their money, and they can expand their personal economy more effectively into the broader global economy.
